PRIVACY POLICY
Effective date: August 26, 2026
Last updated: August 26, 2026
American Cash Advance ("American Cash Advance", "ACA", "we", "us", "our") has served Louisiana and Mississippi since 2001. We operate 43 branches and this website, americancashadvance.net.
This policy explains what information we collect about you, where it comes from, what we do with it, who else sees it, and what you can ask us to do about it. It applies to this website and to the loan products we offer at our branches. It covers people who apply, people who borrow, people who used to borrow, and people who only visit the site.
Read it before you send us anything.
The short version
- We collect what we need to decide on a loan, fund it, service it, and meet the law. Nothing is collected for the sake of it.
- We do not sell your information. We do not rent it. We do not share it with other companies so they can market to you.
- A loan is completed in person at a branch. You can start an application online, but the decision and the paperwork happen with a real person at a branch.
- We check your credit through a consumer reporting agency. It is not a hard inquiry with the three national bureaus and it does not affect your credit score.
- If you give us your phone number on this website, a branch will call you back during business hours. You can tell us to stop at any time.
- You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and ask us to stop contacting you. Details are in "Your choices" below.
The short version is a summary. The sections below are the policy.
1. Information you give us
On this website. The website has two places where you type something in.
The contact form asks for your name, your phone number, your email address and your message.
The application form asks for the information a branch needs to call you back and start a file. That is your name, your date of birth, your home address and how long you have lived there, your phone number, your email address, your employer and how long you have worked there, your work phone number, your monthly income, the amount you are asking for, and the branch nearest you.
Nothing you send through this website is a loan agreement, and sending it does not approve you for anything.
At a branch. When you finish an application in person, we collect more, because a loan file requires it. That includes your Social Security number, your driver's license number or state ID number, a bank statement showing an open checking account, a blank check from that account, proof of income such as a pay stub or an award letter, and proof of where you live. We also ask for the names, addresses and phone numbers of your two nearest relatives and three personal references.
If you give us somebody else's contact details as a reference, please tell them. We may contact them about your account.
When you apply for a job. If you apply for a position with us, we collect what you put on the employment application and in your resume, and we use it to consider you for the role.
2. Information we get from other sources
We do not rely only on what you tell us. To verify it and to decide responsibly, we also obtain:
- Consumer reports. We access consumer reports through CoreLogic Teletrack. This is how we check your borrowing history with short-term lenders. You authorize this when you sign the application. You can request a copy of that report from CoreLogic Teletrack on (877) 309-5226.
- Verification of what you told us. We may contact your employer or another source to confirm your employment history and your income.
- Information from other lenders and reporting agencies about your creditworthiness and credit history, and to confirm you are who you say you are.
- Information from marketing information firms, such as household demographic data.
- Your history with us. Your account history, balances, payment history and any overdraft history on transactions you have had with us.
3. Information collected automatically when you visit this website
Like most websites, ours records some information about the visit itself. This happens whether or not you fill anything in.
- Your IP address, and the approximate location it suggests
- The type of device, browser and operating system you are using
- The pages you open, the links you click, how long you stay and which site you arrived from
- The date and time of the visit
We use Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to collect and read this. Google sets cookies in your browser to do it. We use it to see which pages people actually use and which ones are not working, so we can fix them. We do not use it to identify you personally, and we do not combine it with your loan file.
This website also loads fonts hosted by Google. Loading them tells Google's servers your IP address.
Cookies. A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. Ours are used to keep the site working correctly and to run the analytics described above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work, though some parts may not behave as expected. To opt out of Google Analytics specifically, install Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Do Not Track. Browsers can send a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no agreed standard for what a website should do when it receives one, so this website does not respond to it. The cookie controls above work regardless.
4. What we use your information for
We use it to:
- Decide whether we can lend to you, and on what terms
- Fund, service and collect your loan
- Verify your identity and confirm what you have told us
- Contact you about your application, your account, and changes to your terms or to this policy
- Process payments and keep your account records accurate
- Meet reporting, record-keeping and other legal requirements, including those of our regulators
- Detect and prevent fraud
- Understand which of our products and branches customers use, through statistical analysis of customer demographics, payment histories and preferences
- Improve this website and our service
5. Who we share it with
Our own people. Access is restricted to the employees who need the information to do something for you. They are bound to keep it confidential.
Service providers. Companies that do work for us, such as processing payments, hosting this website, sending email on our behalf, verifying identity, storing records and destroying them securely. They may only use your information to do that work for us.
Consumer reporting agencies. We report and obtain information as described in section 2.
Partner locations. We list partner locations in Alabama and Tennessee. If you choose one of those locations on an application, we pass your application details to that location so they can contact you. That happens because you asked for it. If you do not select a partner location, nothing goes to them.
When the law requires it. In response to a subpoena, court order, or a lawful request from a regulator or law enforcement agency, and where we need to protect our legal rights or investigate fraud.
If the business changes hands. If American Cash Advance is sold or merged, customer information may transfer as part of the business. This policy continues to apply to it until it is replaced.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with other companies so they can market their own products to you.
6. Calls, texts and email
When you give us your phone number on an application or a contact form, you are asking a branch to call you back. Calls come during business hours: Monday to Friday 9:00am to 6:00pm, and Saturday 9:00am to 1:00pm.
We may contact you about your application and about your account by phone, text or email, at the number or address you gave us. Standard message and data rates from your carrier may apply.
To stop marketing contact, call (888) 908-8016 or email info@americancashadvance.net and tell us. To stop marketing emails, use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email. We will still need to contact you about an active loan, because that is servicing rather than marketing.
A warning about calls you did not expect. We do not use third-party collection agencies. If somebody contacts you claiming to collect a debt for American Cash Advance, read the fraud notice on our Contact page before you give them anything.
7. How long we keep it
We keep loan records for as long as your account is open and afterwards for the period our regulators and the law require us to keep them. Applications that do not become loans are kept for the period required for lending records.
Website analytics data is kept on Google's standard retention schedule.
When a record reaches the end of its retention period, we dispose of it securely.
8. How we protect it
We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to guard your information. In practice that means restricted access, confidentiality obligations on staff, secure storage of paper files at the branch, encryption of information sent through this website, and secure disposal of records we no longer need.
No system is perfect, and we will not pretend otherwise. What we can tell you is what we ask of you: never send your Social Security number, bank account details or a photograph of your ID by email or through a web form that is not ours. We will not ask you to.
9. Your choices
Ask what we hold. You can ask us what personal information we have about you. Call (888) 908-8016 or write to us at the address below. We may need to verify who you are first.
Correct it. If something we hold is wrong, tell us and we will correct our records. If the error is on a consumer report, contact the reporting agency directly, since we cannot change their file.
Stop marketing contact. See section 6.
Ask us not to call. Tell us and we will add your number to our internal do-not-call list. That is separate from the National Do Not Call Registry at donotcall.gov.
Cookies and analytics. See section 3.
State privacy rights. Some states give residents specific rights over their personal information. Much of what we hold is regulated instead by the federal Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, which sets its own rules for financial information. If you live in a state with a comprehensive privacy law and you want to exercise a right under it, contact us and we will tell you how it applies to your information and act on it where the law requires.
10. Children
This website and our services are for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to apply. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, for marketing or for anything else. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Other websites
This website links to sites we do not control, including map, review and social media services. Once you leave our site, this policy stops applying. Read the policy of the site you land on.
12. Changes to this policy
We may change this policy. When we do, we will post the revised version here and update the effective date at the top. If the change is significant, we will tell you.
This policy replaces any privacy policy previously given to you or appearing on your transaction agreement, application, loan document or any other document. Where they conflict, this policy controls until it is revised.
